Apply for a Grant

If you would like to apply for a Silver Gummy Grant, please complete the Grant Form for consideration. Our average gift is $20,000 per year for three years, but we can increase or decrease this amount in accordance with the needs of the project.

Please save a copy of the PDF form to your computer.

Once the form is opened in ADOBE, click on the Fill & Sign option under Tools. Use the space provided to complete the form. Email your completed form to grotstein@karmaandcents.com. If your organization or project is selected, you will be contacted to setup a site visit and to complete a more detailed grant request. If your organization is not selected, we will be in touch with you with feedback on your application in the first quarter of the calendar year.

We fund projects/organizations that are innovative and strive for achievement in the area of gender-based education. As part of our evaluation process you and your organization must be willing to communicate and collaborate with other stakeholders.

Site Visits and Detailed Funding Requests

The type of information we will be seeking for your detailed fund request will be based on your submission for consideration in your LOI. The Silver Gummy Foundation approaches a funding relationship as a true partnership, therefore, our granting process is hands-on and customized to each funding opportunity.

We will be requesting a site visit and a meeting with your organization’s key leadership and program implementation team. We may also invite you to present to our Grant Committee, depending on the nature and size of the funding request.
Once we have done a review of your organization and the project requiring funding, we will be in touch about how the Silver Gummy Foundation will work with you.

At Silver Gummy we want to build a community of Grantees and our funding is based on past relationships, as well as the contributions made by our Grantees to the Silver Gummy network. For new organizations, first time donations are around $15,000.

There is also the expectation that all of our Grantees attend an annual summit in Calgary. Silver Gummy hosts the event and covers all travel costs. It is expected that someone from your organization attends whether you are a first-time recipient or a multi-year Grantee.

We will reach out to you to finalize the donor agreement and establish a disbursement schedule.

If you are not selected, you can apply again. We strongly recommend that you reach out to get feedback on your previous application given that funding, in part, is based on building a relationship with Silver Gummy and its network of Grantees.

Rolling submissions are discussed approximately every six weeks.
